Why does the PIC Steering Board keep silent while Schmidt pushes BiH into crisis and attacks institutions!?

Since taking over the mandate of High Representative in BiH, German politician Christian Schmidt has been continuously part of controversies, suspicions, and increasingly clear accusations that he did not come to our country to implement the civilian segment of the Dayton Peace Agreement, but to reactivate and ensure the viability of certain retrograde ideas and war aims of the neighbours.

The directions Schmidt takes in decision-making are often completely contradictory. For example, part of the BiH and international public praises Schmidt's imposition of amendments to the Election Law to ensure transparency and integrity of the electoral process. However, the fact is that the same Schmidt previously, through his decision, undermined the electoral system, usurped the political will of one people, suspended the Constitution, and directly changed the electoral will of voters through two decisions.

However, Schmidt did not complicate the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina only in the field of apartheid and the usurpation of electoral political will; he also did so in the field of resolving the issue of state property. From the beginning of his mandate, the German diplomat has been playing some kind of fool on this issue, giving incoherent answers to hide his real intentions and plans. In no interview has Schmidt offered even a shred of a solution for the key issue concerning the sovereignty and territorial integrity of BiH.

And on top of all the foolishness he created or participated in, Schmidt decided to play the devil's advocate of legitimate representation. In partnership with Andrej Plenković, Schmidt is trying to overturn the Kovačević vs. BiH ruling, in order to prevent electoral rules that apply throughout the European Union from taking effect in BiH.

The trajectory Schmidt is taking as High Representative is a serious danger to the fragile peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina, because the Bavarian lover of Nazism has decided to take sides in Bosnia and Herzegovina instead of sticking to his defined mandate.

According to rumours, Schmidt is a person with a messianic complex, and the fact that he is a bearer of Croatian decorations and was a friend of Franjo Tuđman clearly shows that in Bosnia and Herzegovina, specifically at the head of the OHR, we do not have a High Representative, but a Croatian messiah on the track of Tuđman's policy and the dream of a banovina. If we add to that the writings about the resource interests of Schmidt and his close partners, it is difficult to accept him as a credible High Representative.

A sock in the mouth

The report on the situation in BiH that Schmidt sent to the UN Security Council largely reveals and simultaneously supports the claims that Schmidt is ideologically and resource-wise committed in BiH.

In that report, Schmidt praised his own apartheid, which he installed by suspending the BiH Constitution and usurping the political will of Bosniaks. At the same time, for reasons known only to him, Schmidt attacked member of the Commission for the Preservation of National Monuments Faruk Kapidžić, and the Constitutional Court of BiH in the Vareš case.

Schmidt is the diplomat with the highest authority in Bosnia and Herzegovina, so his attacks on individuals and institutions cannot be ignored. Especially if we know that he is a person with a delusion, devoted to Croatian and resource politics. Therefore, Schmidt is now an interested party and his objectivity, along with his credibility, can no longer exist.

I therefore asked all embassies that are members of the PIC Steering Board what they think about Schmidt's manner of reporting, the fact that he was also called out by the EU for endangering legal certainty, and the lack of money in the OHR.

Only the embassies of the UK and the USA replied, with terse answers. The Embassy of the United Kingdom told us that it looks forward to the discussion on Schmidt's report, and the US Embassy said that they fully support Schmidt.

The remaining members of the PIC Steering Board decided to put a sock in their mouths and watch the situation develop, because we did not receive their answers. And that silence from the PIC Steering Board can be seen as a serious warning to Bosnia and Herzegovina that it is threatened as never before since Dayton.

Because, when the High Representative attacks the Constitutional Court and tries to protect investments, and previously that German oaf remained silent on inquiries about the decision of the FBiH Government to re-purpose land in favour of a British investor. Schmidt is not tied to Adriatic Metals; he is more interested in investments in which he himself is involved. And it is said that he is involved in businesses in Herzegovina, on Kupres, and even in the lithium story. And all that on state property, which he is supposed to resolve.

In the media in recent days, we have seen announcements that Schmidt will impose a law on state property that will be unfavourable, not to say fatal, for BiH. The report is precisely in line with such announcements.

The PIC Steering Board is most responsible for preventing Schmidt from causing chaos in Bosnia and Herzegovina that could take us back to the winter of 1995. Because, if he imposes the law on state property as the media write, Schmidt would extinguish the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In other words, Schmidt would thereby resolve the outcome of the war and enable the completion of the job of creating a Greater Serbia and Croatia.

If the PIC Steering Board remains silent in that case, they too can be considered accomplices in driving the last nail into the coffin of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Because a state without territory cannot survive.

That is why it is high time that policies from Sarajevo, except those loyal to Zagreb and Belgrade, take action towards the PIC Steering Board and centres of power to stop Schmidt, send him home, and return the OHR to the path of implementing Dayton.
