Vučić wants to know if EUFOR received the warrant: Arresting Dodik and others would be a complete catastrophe

(Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić commented on the issuance of a central arrest warrant for the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić, and the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Radovan Višković.

Vučić stated that he wants to "verify" whether EUFOR received the warrant, and that arresting Dodik and the others would be a "complete catastrophe".

"This is a big problem, what is happening in BiH. For us, the warrant for President Dodik, Višković, and Stevandić is a huge problem," Vučić said in an interview with Pink.

Dodik, Stevandić, and Višković can no longer move freely, Vučić said, adding that he will talk with Europeans in Brussels about ways to "lower tensions and return to normal".

It will be a complete catastrophe if these three are arrested, Vučić emphasizes.

"I hope no one is crazy enough to try something like that, and I'm just waiting to see if EUFOR received that warrant, such an order or not. If they did, it's a complete catastrophe. Overnight we could end up in a complete catastrophe, and that's why we must do everything to preserve peace and stability."

Aleksandar Vučić is in Brussels today where he will also meet with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, who was in Sarajevo last week. He announced that he will discuss with him ways to calm tensions.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Elmedin Konaković, is also in Brussels today.
