Vučić convenes an emergency session of the National Security Council for today

(Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has convened an emergency session of the National Security Council for today at 11:00 AM due to energy prices on the global market.

In addition to Vučić, all relevant members related to the energy sector will also attend the session.

After the session, an address to the media is expected with proposed measures for citizens to mitigate the crisis caused by rising energy prices on the world market, as a consequence of the conflict in the Middle East.

Vučić told reporters that the situation is very complicated, complex, and difficult for citizens.
He emphasized that several key factors influence the country's energy and economic stability.

He reminded that a decision from the US OFAC is pending regarding the potential extension of the license for the Oil Industry of Serbia (NIS).
