Vučić: There is no sonic weapon in the Serbian Army, that is the biggest lie

(Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić reacted to the massive student protests "15. za 15" held on March 15 in Belgrade, claiming that all allegations about the use of sonic weapons are false and that the gathering passed peacefully, without police repression.

Vučić stated via Instagram that he is proud that the state "preserved stability and peace despite attempts at destabilization" and that "all untruths" allegedly spread by the protest organizers were "refuted."

“I will remind you, from claims that people from Pioneers' Park would attack them, to how tractors were used to attack them, in the end, 186 tractors of Serbian hosts, precisely those who spoke about it, were thoroughly destroyed or severely damaged. During the gathering itself, they broadcast through all their anti-Serbian colored media how we would shut down the internet, how social networks would not exist, because that's what dictators do. They lied. They talked about how they would be attacked by war veterans, the real and true ones, and then they brought in some led by a man who left the Serbian Army in 1993 due to salary levels at the height of the fight for the Serbian people. And they were not ashamed of it, but proud. Then they said no one would allow them to come to Belgrade because someone would block trucks on the roads, just as they did to us on the way to Jagodina. Of course, it didn't happen. Then they said that the fights were caused by people from Pioneers' Park, but actually the only fight that occurred was among the participants themselves, and it was horrifying. They cannot stand that we preserved peace, preserved freedom, preserved democracy, and taught everyone a lesson without using a single baton or truncheon,” Vučić said.

He specifically addressed claims about the use of sonic weapons, stating that the Serbian Army and the Cobra unit "do not have a sonic weapon" and that the footage showing the weapon is actually an anti-drone rifle.

“And then came the biggest lie, because when everything ends unsuccessfully, you have to lie even more. Then they came up with the idea to invent a story about a sonic weapon and they found that sonic weapon and showed it, showed it in the hands of Serbian soldiers, members of the Cobras, only that is not a sonic weapon but an anti-drone rifle, an ordinary anti-drone rifle, because the Army and the Cobras do not have a sonic weapon at all. There is no sonic weapon in the Serbian Army. Then they continued with that story despite all the lies, despite all the fabrications. So they said 'yes, yes, it existed,' even though no one reported feeling unwell, feeling sick. Then they remembered the next day to send their activists, since they felt sick after 48 hours, to say 'I felt unwell somewhere.' It cannot really be shown or proven, but we will continue to fabricate,” he added.

According to him, demonstrators fabricated accusations to destabilize Serbia, drawing a parallel with the protests on the Maidan in Ukraine in 2014.

“Well, that's what they did on the Maidan. Do you remember the accusations that Yanukovych brought in snipers who shot at people? That's how they started here with 'Vučić, you shot at your own people.' There are no injured, nothing happened to anyone, but you have to fabricate. The sonic weapon was never on the street, you cannot not see it, you cannot not hear it. You invented another vicious lie thinking you could bring down Serbia. The investigation will be fully completed within 48 hours, and all those responsible for such brutal fabrications and lies will be held accountable before the law. There have been too many games and jokes about bringing down Serbia. We will preserve Serbia and defend it, Serbia will win,” concluded Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

On the other hand, students on blockade condemned the authorities' response during Saturday's protest, claiming that citizens, while paying tribute to the victims of the accident in Novi Sad, were exposed to a device whose effects correspond to sound waves. They emphasized that, despite the Interior Ministry's denial, many participants in the gathering report symptoms such as headache, nausea, and malfunction of medical devices for heart control.

The opposition Party of Freedom and Justice (SSP) filed a criminal complaint on March 17 with the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime against state officials, accusing them of using banned sonic weapons against peaceful demonstrators.

We remind you, the protest at Slavija, which gathered several hundred thousand citizens, passed peacefully until the moment when the crowd suddenly began to move aside due to an unknown noise.
