(Patria) - As protests in Serbia reach their culmination, the country's president Aleksandar Vučić addressed the public.
“Such a state in society suits no one. You will see that I am not at all afraid,” Vučić said.
Vučić said that society in Serbia is in a vacuum and that people do not hear each other.
Vučić said that with the help of associates he analyzed the students' demands.
He singled out 4 student demands and held a presentation showing that he will fulfill or has fulfilled all demands.
Everything they came up with, we made a decision to fulfill.
“All this that is happening, we could go on like this for another two years, but it cannot go on like this. We do not need violence. We want to do this because it is important for these young people to return to their student desks. It is important for us to ensure stability and functionality of the state,” Vučić said.
He then stated that he is "not afraid of political repercussions."
- Because it seems to me that the will of the people is clearer than ever. We do not talk to each other, some talk about demands, others say the demands are met, these say they are not, neither side knows, or did not want to hear the other side - Vučić emphasizes.
