Vučić: Early elections after EXPO 2027 preparations are completed

(Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated today that he will "call early elections" once preparations for EXPO 2027 are completed and Serbia is ready for the international exhibition.

While visiting a gathering in the village of Jelašnica, Vučić responded to journalists' questions about claims that he is a "coward" and "afraid to call elections" by saying that - "when you lead a country, you must not respond based on personal vanity, but based on the 'needs of the people'."

- When the preparations for EXPO are completed, I will call early elections. In those elections, I fear they have made a big mistake.

I thought the chances were somewhere around here, but they are no longer. We will defeat them convincingly then - Vučić stated confidently.
