Vučić on the Srebrenica Genocide Resolution: The outcome is not favorable for us

(Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić spoke tonight on RTS's evening news about the Srebrenica Genocide Resolution, stating that several more countries had joined as co-sponsors today.

- Today, Estonia, Poland, Luxembourg, and our neighbors Bulgaria and Croatia joined the Srebrenica Resolution as co-sponsors - said Vučić.

He also stated that the text of the Resolution has been agreed upon, and he brought the papers with the text of the document to the studio and read them.

He asserted that there are no substantial changes - "three British amendments were included which slightly strengthened the Resolution, there are no other changes".

- They rejected Iran, which requested that Gaza be included, and for reasons unknown to us, they removed Australia's amendments.

We sent letters to both the Germans and Rwanda, and we received no response. They consult with like-minded people, they don't want dialogue, they prefer groupthink - emphasizes Vučić, adding that "they haven't answered us anything".

Vučić stated that, according to the information he has, the vote on the Resolution will be between May 13 and 17.

- Coincidentally or not, when they know what obligations we have here, but I will do my best to manage everything, we have never denied the terrible crime in Srebrenica for a second, we have not done that, we have always had respect for the victims.

We have informed a large part of the world about what is happening. We will continue to fight with the clear fact that the outcome is not favorable for us - emphasizes Vučić.

As early as tomorrow, he revealed, he will talk with the representative of Eswatini, "there are no non-working days for us, and I will manage to get to some liturgy somewhere".

Great Britain, Vučić claims, has now taken the lead.

- It wasn't by chance that I asked the Americans, they care about Dayton, I have nothing to ask the British, but no one answered me, not even the Americans - why did you allow a brutal violation of Dayton. They didn't answer me.

(Elmedin) Konaković revealed all their intentions, they said it all themselves, I didn't say anything.

After that day passes, we will work even harder to build our country. They cannot catch up with us and they will try to stop us in every way - concluded Vučić.
