Vučić on Dodik's verdict: Serbia has not been in such a difficult situation since 2008

(Patria) - As long as I breathe and as long as a drop of blood flows through my veins, I will not allow a word of praise for the verdict based on verbal offense against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, to come out of my mouth, stated Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić today.

Today, Dodik was sentenced to one year in prison and banned from holding political office for six years for disrespecting the decisions of the High Representative.

(Patria) - The Appeals Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has confirmed the first-instance conviction of the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, in the case against him for disrespecting the decisions of the High Representative, Istraga.ba has learned

Vučić claims that he will not betray his convictions even under pressure and states that conclusions regarding Dodik's verdict will be made at the session of the Serbian National Security Council.

According to him, Serbia has not been in such a difficult situation since 2008.

- Our entire country is under great pressure this entire afternoon – the state leadership and I personally, from foreigners who want to dictate Serbia's reaction. I can only tell you that it will be the decision of a collective body, not mine.

Imagine the EU's reaction if Serbia had convicted some world political leader for verbal offense – said Vučić addressing reporters, and assessed that the "EU's reaction is shameful".
