Vučić: I didn't grasp everything that happened in RS, I wish them all the best

(Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated in Belgrade on Thursday that he has not closely followed the events in Republika Srpska in recent days and that, as he said, it is perhaps best not to comment on them.

In a statement to Radio Television of Serbia, Vučić conveyed that he "wishes Republika Srpska all the best," hopes that "everything will pass peacefully," and added that Serbia will continue to assist the entity in infrastructure development.

"I wish Republika Srpska all the best, I haven't grasped everything that happened. Perhaps it's best that I don't comment on anything. I hope everything will pass peacefully. I am happy when Republika Srpska is happy. Anything we can do to help in building roads and infrastructure, we will always do," said Vučić.

The National Assembly of RS appointed Ana Trišić Babić, a long-time associate of Milorad Dodik, as acting president of the entity on Saturday.

Also, the ruling coalition annulled a package of laws that the Constitutional Court of BiH had previously declared anti-Dayton and unconstitutional.

The American administration has removed several individuals from the sanctions list, and a new removal of sanctioned officials is also expected.
