Vučić has a message for Ahmetović too: No one in the north fears Albanians

(Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said he will continue to fight for the Serbian people in Kosovo and stand by Serbs in Republika Srpska because they too face difficult pressures.

Vučić stated that the Serbian people in RS will face great pressures, but emphasized that the times when everyone could trample on Serbs are over.

“Adis Ahmetović from Kotor Varoš, who is responsible for the entire region in the Bundestag, says there will be incidents as long as Serbia does not recognize Kosovo. And when they mention to him that RS is asking for something, he says it is the destruction of peace and stability, while for him, the annexation of Kosovo is peace and stability. Well, we don't button up our shirts from the back. Those days are over, such things no longer pass”, Vučić told Televizija Prva.

He believes that for the survival of the Serbian people in Serbia, RS, Montenegro, and everywhere in the region, economic progress is key, along with preserving peace and stability.

Speaking about Kosovo, Vučić assessed that the main problem is that Albanians from Pristina do not understand at all that they have no power in northern Kosovo.

Vučić emphasized that Pristina does not realize that it cannot resolve anything by force in the north, as it will always encounter fierce resistance, as was the case with the barricades.

“No one in the north fears Albanians, but our people there do not want to drag the entire Serbia into conflict with NATO. Albanians are not stronger than Serbs in the north at all. Why didn't they rush in for 20 days? Because they would have encountered a tough nut to crack and would have realized how fierce the people's resistance is. On the other hand, they know that Serbia would respond seriously and that they would be swept away like dust”, Vučić stated.

According to him, at the moment when the combat readiness of the army and police was raised, more than 90 percent of the tens of thousands of people called responded, while Albanians in the barracks in Gnjilane, he claims, had a response rate of 74 percent.

“Serbs have never been more motivated. They didn't hesitate for a moment, so we had a 97 percent response from elite unit members in one evening, which we could never have achieved, especially in such a serious situation. This shows that people are tired of the violation of Serbs' rights in Kosovo”, Vučić assessed.
