Vučić: The goal of some from outside is to bring down the RS by bringing down Serbia

(Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić addressed the public tonight, a day before the large protest rally in Belgrade.

In addition to alleged plans to provoke conflict during tomorrow's demonstrations, Vučić also spoke about the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Patria reports.

- This too will pass tomorrow, and in the coming days we will have to face a much bigger problem. The decision on the arrest warrant for Milorad Dodik, Nenad Stevandić and Radovan Višković is deeply disturbing.

That decision is deeply anti-democratic, but also essentially destabilizing for the entire region. And it is incredible that at such a moment someone does not understand how important stability and unity are to us here in the country.

The goal of some from outside is to bring down the Republika Srpska, so that Serbia cannot help it, and then of course to bring down Serbia as well. Or however you want - by bringing down Serbia, bring down the RS as well, it doesn't matter much which domino falls first.

So that the Serbian people no longer have any protection of their vital national interests and that it ends in such a way - said Vučić.

He then commented on the statement of the British ambassador in Belgrade, Edward Ferguson, that Serbia, as a signatory to the Dayton Agreement, has a legal obligation to respect the sovereignty and political independence of BiH and its institutions.

He claimed that the Republika Srpska is not responsible "because someone tried to seize its property."

- According to the Dayton Peace Agreement, the issue of property is within the competence of the entities, not the central authorities. And that is unequivocally written because only what is excluded is clear; everything that is excluded from those listed competences belonging to the central authorities belongs to the entities. Property is not listed. And you tried to destroy that - said Vučić.

He also stated that "the time of taking it out on us is over - we will respond clearly," adding that "Serbia is the pillar of Serbdom and the RS can count on Serbia's support."
