Government of Slovenia bans Milorad Dodik from entering the country

(Patria) - After the Slovenian government two weeks ago ordered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to finalize materials on banning Milorad Dodik from entering Slovenia, and last week did not include that item on the session agenda, today it confirmed the imposition of sanctions.

As an important reason for the measure against Dodik, the extensive outflow of capital of suspicious origin from the Republika Srpska and the wider Western Balkans region into Slovenia is cited.

According to information from the Slovenian editorial office of N1, the government at today's session confirmed that a ban on entry into Slovenia will be imposed for the removed President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik. The material was prepared by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MZEZ).

As reported by the Slovenian editorial office of N1, the government discussed the basis for banning Dodik's entry into Slovenia two weeks ago, but at that time ordered the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Industry to finalize the material before the government makes a decision.

The Slovenian government has also banned entry into the country for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
