Serbian National Security Council Adopts Seven Conclusions on Dodik's Verdict

(Patria) - An emergency session of the National Security Council was held tonight at the Presidency of Serbia, chaired by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

Minister of Police Ivica Dačić conveyed to reporters that Vučić presented seven points and conclusions regarding the verdict against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik – which were adopted.

At the session, Dačić explained, great concern was expressed over the situation in Republika Srpska, and it was assessed that this is the biggest crisis since the end of the war.

On that occasion, the verdict against Dodik was condemned as "undemocratic and unlawful," and a call for calm in the reaction was made.

An appeal was also made for respect of the Dayton Agreement, which, Dačić stated, led to the cessation of the war. Those present expressed opposition to foreign interference, which led to this situation. Then, they called for unity and togetherness of the Serbian people and all parties in Republika Srpska and Serbia.

At the session, Dačić explained, great concern was expressed over the situation in Republika Srpska, and it was assessed that this is the biggest crisis since the end of the war. Dačić added that this is "the result of a general attack by Sarajevo and some Western powers on Republika Srpska and the fundamental principles of the Dayton Agreement".

In his assessment, this is also a desire to redefine Republika Srpska – its disappearance. Dačić stated that Vučić is currently heading to the airport and traveling to Banja Luka.

- He will talk with Dodik. It is clear to all of you that Serbia is in a difficult situation, as are Republika Srpska and the Serbian people as a whole – Dačić said.

The session was attended by outgoing Prime Minister Miloš Vučević, Minister of Justice Maja Popović, Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić, Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić, Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dačić, Chief of the General Staff Milan Mojsilović, Speaker of the Parliament Ana Brnabić, and Director of the BIA Vladimir Orlić.
