(Patria) - At last night's UN Security Council session, discussing the six-month report on UNMIK's work in Kosovo, a verbal altercation occurred between Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and the session's president, Vanessa Frazier from Malta.
Giving the floor to Vučić, after whom Osmani was to speak, the session's president stated that both had three minutes, according to a previously reached agreement.
Vučić, instead of starting his address, said that this was not agreed upon and added, "but it doesn't matter".
Frazier replied that it was, but Vučić interrupted her with indignation: "No, it was not agreed.".
The UNSC President strongly rebukes Vucic.
She said Osmani & Vucic had agreed to 3 minutes each.
V: "That was not agreed."
P: "It was agreed."
V: "No, it was not agreed."
P: "My deputy just told me that she agreed with you.
I will not accept that she is made out to be a liar." pic.twitter.com/P8TjMbf8Tg— Admirim (@admirim) April 22, 2024
Frazier then raised her voice at Vučić and began banging her hand on the table, stating that it had been agreed and that her deputy had told her it was agreed with the Serbian president.
She told Vučić that she would not allow her deputy to be portrayed as a liar.
- I just… - Vučić tried to utter something, but Frazier interrupted him and did not allow him to speak further beyond the address for which he had come.
- Thank you, Mr. President, you have three minutes - Frazier concluded.
