(Patria) - A major fire broke out today around 5 PM in the "Nevena kolor" paint and varnish factory in Leskovac.
27 firefighters with 11 vehicles from Leskovac, Niš, and Vranje are on site. Half of the facility and warehouse burned down.
Only one firefighter sought assistance at the Emergency Center due to smoke inhalation, RTS confirmed at the Leskovac General Hospital.
This is a factory that produces highly flammable paints and varnishes. Since the factory does not have a second shift, the cause of the fire is not yet known.
All available fire trucks and personnel from the Leskovac emergency sector are on site.
Recall, a fire also broke out in the Leskovac factory in July 2012, when the central air conditioning chamber caught fire. There were no injuries at that time.
A fire also broke out in this factory in November 2006, when one of the factory's facilities burned down completely.
