FIRE STRIKE 2024 Serbian Army practices combat operations

(Patria) - The Serbian Army is conducting the joint tactical exercise "Fire Strike 2024" at the Pasuljanske livade training ground. Combat operations are being practiced with the use of unmanned aerial vehicles for reconnaissance and fire support, the Serbian Ministry of Defense announced.

The general objectives of the exercise have been designated as improving intelligence gathering and distribution capabilities, increasing the efficiency of fire support on the modern battlefield, and verifying the functionality of the army's organization and units.

Army units, air force, air defense, special operations forces, electronic warfare units, and experts from the Military Technical Institute are participating in the exercise, Nova.rs reports.

Approximately 1500 soldiers and over 300 combat assets are engaged, including those undergoing modernization, development, and testing.

The exercise will last for two weeks. Based on it, limitations and needs for the development of new tactical principles will be determined, the possibilities for protection and defense against attacks from the air will be verified, and the needs for the development of new software and hardware solutions will be identified.
