Emergency address by Vučić: Don't come with arguments from the 'third eye', I can't stand that, give scientific arguments

(Patria) - President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić held an emergency address at the Palace of Serbia regarding the rally against lithium mining, stating that it took place in a democratic atmosphere, but after the rally ended, we saw the occupation of the railway and the blocking of traffic on Gazela.

- The occupation of the international railway and the blocking of Gazela were not contributions to democracy but rather its mockery and the imposition of terror by the minority over the majority - said Vučić.

Vučić congratulated all security forces on their professionalism, and Ivica Dačić added that not even a baton was used.

- The interventions were carried out without the use of even minimal physical force. I am happy that, despite the violence inflicted on ordinary citizens, we reacted in such a restrained, peaceful, and wise manner - added Vučić.

He also said that his assessment of the events is certainly extremely negative, but that sometimes by remaining silent or by not saying unnecessary words, you do a favor to yourself and others.

Vučić accused the owner of "United Group", Dragan Šolak, of being the main organizer of the protests. He called him a "criminal".

The media are also to blame - N1, Nova.rs, etc... And all those who oppose the start of lithium mining in Serbia, Vučić specified, particularly in response to a journalist's question about how he comments on the fact that Croatian media rejoiced the most over the protests.

Vučić greeted this question with a smile, saying that he had long heard that he is attacked the most when he does something good for Serbia.

Now, as is traditional, he also mentioned Slobodna Bosna, reading their headline "This could lead Serbia into civil war".

"The fight against Vučić's atrocities in Oslobođenje, then Slobodna Bosna, this could lead Serbia into civil war, then Jutarnji list, then Dnevno writes about civil war, they say an autocrat wants to devastate nature to maintain power. I understand their desire, I have no problem with that, but every normal person in this country must know which side they are on," Vučić stated.

Vučić emphasized that he is ready to hear every rational argument.

"I will be the worst possible policeman for Rio Tinto. Absolutely nothing will happen. We can talk about a referendum, both on the territory of cities and Serbia, everything is possible," added Vučić.

"Would they in Sarajevo, Zagreb, and Priština be against jadarite and against some Vučić if it weren't at least a little good for Serbia?" said Vučić.

"Just come to me with a rational argument. Don't come with shouting, yelling, and occupying railways, because I can't stand that. After all, I did finish some schools and a university. Did you see how many people started leaving the rally when they heard nonsense? You can't even agree on which are your biggest protests," said Vučić, adding that in Belgrade, no one is truly concerned about lithium, but rather use it as a political tool.

"Where people are truly concerned, we will talk with them. Just don't come to me with arguments from the 'third eye'. I am a man who accepts science," Vučić emphasized.
