(Patria) - As Slobodna Dalmacija learns, a total of five people are involved in the police operation, two of whom are already in prison, and three were arrested in this morning's Croatian police operation.
The arrests are, according to unofficial information, related to the murder of Mario Boljat, known as Pajkić, in Kaštela in 2020, or to the key witness Jozo Čabraja, who was the only one to change his testimony three times during the trial, and in one of them he even stated that he was offered just under one hundred thousand euros to clear Tomislav Šoljić, accused of Boljat's murder, of guilt.
It remains to be seen whether the members of the arrested criminal group also influenced some other witnesses in the same proceedings, given that the vast majority of them appeared quite scared and confused in the courtroom when giving their testimonies, writes Jutarnji list.
We remind you that this morning arrests and urgent evidentiary actions were carried out as a result of a criminal investigation conducted by the Split-Dalmatia Police Department at the order of USKOK.
- These actions are being carried out in the area of Split-Dalmatia County concerning several individuals who are reasonably suspected of having committed criminal offenses against justice. USKOK will make a decision on further action in the case after questioning the suspects, about which the public will be informed in a timely manner, USKOK stated.
