In Zagreb, thief stole a car with a child inside - Witness: The father ran after the vehicle in terror!

(Patria) - An unknown man stole a car in Zagreb that still had a child in the back seat, and the Zagreb police are still determining all the circumstances of the theft that occurred yesterday around 5 p.m. in Maksimir and are searching for the thief.

As Dnevnik.hr reports, the car was stolen on Tuesday afternoon on Bukovačka Road.

The sight of a terrified man running after the car did not go unnoticed by some passersby, and one of the people who was at the scene told Danas.hr what happened.

She said the father left the car running in front of a bakery.

"He turned on all four hazard lights. He went into the bakery, and a thief took advantage of his carelessness and stole the car, but with the child in the back seat. I am in complete shock," said the person who was at the scene.

The child was found unharmed shortly afterward in the car not far from the bakery, and the investigation is ongoing, as is the search for the fleeing thief, police told Dnevnik.hr.
