(Patria) - Around 60 MPs from the previous term will not be in the new Croatian Parliament.
They failed to secure a new mandate in the elections. Among them are some well-known names, reports HRT.
Croatian citizens have had their say and closed the doors of the Parliament for some. Sixty former MPs will not be part of the new term.
This time, the entire club of Social Democrat MPs was left without the citizens' trust, as they did not win a single mandate.
Thus, for the next four years, we will not see Davor Bernardić, Domagoj Hajduković, Franko Vidović, nor Davorko Vidović, who until recently claimed that the united left would easily win elections, in the Parliament.
Vidović proved to be a poor predictor, as did Radimir Čačić, whose Reformists we will also no longer see in the Parliament. Natalija Martinčević also failed to secure a mandate.
Although the Focus party managed to enter the Parliament, we will not see its president Davor Nađi there.
- As a coalition, we have been saying since our founding that unification is necessary - Nađi stated in February this year. Despite this, he failed to gather more than one mandate.
There is also no place in the new term of the Parliament for Karolina Vidović Krišto, who entered on the list of the Homeland Movement four years ago, after which she founded her own party.
The president of the Workers' Front, Katarina Peović, will also not be in the parliamentary seats.
Davor Dretar's party - the Homeland Movement - achieved success in the elections, but he too will not be in the Parliament for the next four years. Neither will the energetic sovereignist Željko Sačić.
- Do not be impressed by any major propaganda or similar actions - Sačić said before the elections. It seems the voters were not impressed either.
And another face we will not see is the long-time MP for national minorities, Lekaj Prljaskaj, who has also ended his parliamentary career, at least for now.
