(Patria) - The Military Muftiate, in cooperation with the Department for Marriage and Family and the women's community of the "Rajlovac" barracks, organized an iftar for women at the barracks tonight.

- Tonight, at the iftar of the Military Muftiate, it is our honor and pleasure to gather in this way, to have female members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina present at the iftar, who are also members of the Department for Marriage and Family of the Military Muftiate.

This is an opportunity to connect in a special way within a large community, because the Military Muftiate, along with the other eight muftiates, is part of the large community of the Department for Marriage and Family - Malkić emphasized.

As stated by Major Suada Džino, coordinator of the Department for Marriage and Family of the Military Muftiate, the intention was to organize a pleasant gathering.

- It is an exceptional honor for me that tonight we hosted a large number of guests from different parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, primarily our colleagues, but also coordinators; we are a synergy, we support each other.

For us female members, this is a special opportunity for guests, civilians, to come and see how we function; besides being uniformed and having our obligations, we also organize gatherings and religious activities for ourselves. For us, this is an exceptional honor and pleasure - stated Džino.

Uma Sinanović, head of the Public Relations Office of the Ministry of Defense, stated that this is "one of the indicators of how much religious service in the Ministry of Defense generally means for the defense system".

- In this way, we further confirm and build our defense system in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The role of women, not only in the defense system but in society as a whole, is very important - she said.

Amra Hamidović, coordinator of the Department for Marriage and Family of the Medžlis of the Islamic Community Živinice, also expressed her satisfaction with attending the iftar.

- In our medžlis area, we have the "Dubrave" barracks. We have very good cooperation with the Military Muftiate. Tonight, I was invited along with female soldiers from our barracks to attend this iftar.

I am pleased to be present here for the first time, and I hope it will become a good practice - she stated.

After the iftar, joint prayer followed, and then socializing.
