Electricity and gas prices increased in Croatia

(Patria) - Electricity and gas prices have increased in Croatia since yesterday.

In September, as part of the seventh package of measures to protect households and the economy from price increases, the Croatian government secured a total of slightly less than 248 million euros.

Prime Minister Andrej Plenković also said at the time that subsidies for electricity and gas would remain, but that their prices would still increase, by a total of ten percent in the next six months.

The first price increase, it was announced then, would be felt on November bills. Since yesterday, electricity has been 6.5 percent more expensive.

- There will be a certain increase in electricity prices, up to 10% over six months. The price increase will happen in two phases, 6.5% in November, and again at the beginning of the year. The price of gas will also increase by 10% over six months, along with measures - Plenković said at the time.
