37 people arrested in Belgrade, including former basketball player Štimac

(Patria) - Former national basketball team player and activist Vladimir Štimac was arrested last night, reports N1 Serbia. As seen in footage published on social media, Štimac was arrested by the police in front of the RTS building.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia announced shortly after two in the morning that it had detained 37 people who, according to them, participated in disturbing public order and peace and causing incidents in front of the assembly building in Belgrade. They also added that they are searching for other perpetrators of the same acts.

Regime tabloids report that Štimac was arrested on the order of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, because he had been calling for violence in front of the assembly all day.

Clashes occurred in front of the assembly building in Belgrade between the so-called "thugs" and citizens demonstrating against Vučić.
