Serious accident near Zaprešić: Driving an Audi at 230 km/h, he crashed into a toll booth and died

(Patria) - One person died this morning after crashing an Audi into a toll booth near Zaprešić on the A2 motorway, the Zagreb Police reported.

The investigation has been completed. The police briefly stated that around 5:40 a.m., the car crashed into a metal fence and concrete barrier at the Zaprešić toll booth. There was one person inside, who died.

Unofficially, it is learned that the driver was a 21-year-old who was driving an Audi TT at an extremely high speed. It is reportedly a speed of 230 km/h with no attempt to brake.

The circumstances of this terrible accident are being determined. An autopsy of the young man will be performed, as well as analyses that should determine whether he had alcohol or drugs in his blood, Boris Kanazir told HRT's Dnevnik.
