Serious collision between car and military vehicle in Serbia, fatalities and injuries reported

(Patria) - A serious traffic accident involving a car and a military vehicle occurred today on the Kraljevo - Raška road.

According to unofficial information obtained by RTS, a family of five was in the car - the mother, father, and three children.

The Ministry of Defence of Serbia announced that, according to initial information, there are injured and fatalities.

During the execution of regular tasks, a Serbian Army PASARS combat vehicle collided with a civilian vehicle near the town of Ušće. The accident happened shortly before 2 PM.

The Serbian Army combat vehicle was moving towards Raška and was part of a convoy escorted by military police.

Competent authorities have arrived at the scene of the accident and will determine all circumstances. It is assumed that the passenger vehicle drove under the military vehicle, which was moving in escort.

Traffic has been stopped on this section of the Ibar highway. Large queues of vehicles are forming in both directions while the police investigation is underway.
