(Patria) - Two people died, and several were injured in a horrific traffic accident that occurred last night on the Croatian A3 motorway between the Popovača and Križ junctions.
Police say the accident, involving a bus with Bosnian and Herzegovinian license plates, occurred between the 82nd and 83rd kilometer on the southern and northern sides of the motorway.

Traffic has been interrupted and is being rerouted via state, county, and local roads.
- A serious traffic accident occurred around 3:10 AM. According to initial information, two people died, while several were injured and transported to nearby hospitals - said Maja Filipović, police public relations officer for the Sisak-Moslavina Police Department, for HRT.
A police investigation is underway to determine all circumstances of the tragedy, for which all emergency services are on site.
The Croatian Auto Club (HAK) also announced that traffic on the A3 Bregana-Lipovac motorway, between the Popovača and Križ junctions in both directions, has been interrupted due to this accident.

A column of vehicles at the Popovača junction towards Bregana is now about 10 kilometers long, and drivers are asked to use the Kutina exit.
