KFOR, EULEX and Kosovo Police to hold joint exercise tomorrow

(Patria) - NATO and EU missions in Kosovo (KFOR) and EULEX will hold a joint exercise with the Kosovo Police tomorrow.

The exercise, titled "Golden Saber 2024", will be held at Camp Vrelo.

"Through the exercise we will test our ability to jointly manage crises in various security scenarios," KFOR announced.

They emphasize that a significant number of personnel, vehicles, and assets will be involved in the exercise, operating throughout the exercise area, as well as in its vicinity and along major adjacent roads.

"The joint exercise symbolizes our strong commitment to peace and stability in Kosovo. By joining forces, we demonstrate our readiness to face challenges, as well as our commitment to preserving regional stability," KFOR states.

The NATO peacekeeping mission announced that they expect the exercise to be successfully executed.

The Alliance has been leading a peacekeeping operation in Kosovo since 1999, in accordance with its mandate under UN Security Council Resolution 1244.

The KFOR mission in Kosovo currently includes more than 4,500 soldiers provided by 27 NATO allies and partners.
