(Patria) - Belgrade students blocked the Gazela bridge near Belgrade's Sava Centar today for, as announced, seven hours.
The blockade of three intersections on the access roads to Novi Sad has also begun and will last until 2:00 PM, Belgrade media report.
Today marks 100 days since the tragedy in Novi Sad when 15 people died in the collapse of a canopy at the train station.
The demands of the students involved in the blockades are the publication of complete documentation on the reconstruction of the train station, the dismissal of charges against arrested and detained students, activists, and citizens at previous protests, the filing of criminal charges against all attackers of students, professors, and citizens, and a 20 percent increase in the budget for faculties.
Government representatives believe they have fulfilled all demands, while students emphasize that none have been fully met.
At least 63 faculties from five state universities, two private faculties, and four higher vocational schools are involved in the blockades.
Five students from the University of Kragujevac will run a relay marathon to Belgrade today to deliver invitations to their colleagues from Novi Sad, Niš, and Belgrade for a protest to be held in Kragujevac on February 15th, Sretenje.
