Horrific accident in Croatia: Car crashed into a truck from BiH, two people died, child seriously injured

(Patria) - Croatian police today released details of a terrible traffic accident that occurred yesterday on the A3 highway, between the Okučani and Novska junctions.

The accident happened when a 24-year-old young man's vehicle collided with the rear of a truck. Two young people died in the process - a man (24) and a woman (21), and a child who was seriously injured was taken to KBC Zagreb.

HRT reports that the child suffered chest, abdominal, and pelvic injuries, but is stable and in the intensive care unit.

- The accident occurred when the 24-year-old, driving a car with Novska license plates, heading towards Novska, hit the rear of a truck with BiH license plates that was moving in front of him in the same direction.

The person who caused the traffic accident died and a medical autopsy will be performed at Sisak Hospital - said the spokesperson for the Sisak-Moslavina Police Administration, Dario Kačmarčik.
