Small sports plane crashed in Slovenia, three killed

(Patria) - The Murska Sobota Police Administration announced today that a small sports plane crashed near a local football field, and according to unofficial information, three people were killed.

Media reports state that the crashed plane was a Cessna from the Maribor aeroclub.

Media reports mention that there were supposed to be four people on the plane, but one of them did not board.



Slovenian media report that the flight was supposed to be a birthday gift.

The plane was supposed to fly from Maribor to Lendava (Prekmurje), and dense fog in that part of Slovenia is mentioned as a probable cause of the crash, reports b92.
