(Patria) - A sports aircraft of the Piper type crashed today near the Bikovo airport in Subotica.
There were two crew members on board - one died at the scene, while the other sustained injuries and was rushed to the hospital, the Serbian Ministry of Interior announced.
The cause of the crash is not yet known, and police, fire and rescue units, and emergency medical services are at the scene.
An investigation is underway, and the relevant services are securing the area and gathering initial information about the circumstances of the accident.
