Athletes from Serbia for gold at the Paris Olympics will receive 200,000 euros

(Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated today, after a meeting with representatives of the Olympic Committee, that they proposed to the Government to increase the amount for gold medals won at the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris to 200,000 euros.

"We also discussed the prize fund, as well as additional investments in sports, which greatly contribute to good results.

We proposed to the Government of Serbia to increase the amount for gold medals won to 200,000 euros per medal," Vučić wrote on Instagram.

He emphasizes that he discussed the upcoming Games in Paris and support for athletes in their preparations for this biggest and most prestigious sports competition with the representatives of the Olympic Committee of Serbia.
