Spajić on Vučić's proposal for the entire Western Balkans to join the EU together: We will be waiting for you there from 2028

(Patria) - Prime Minister of Montenegro Milojko Spajić reacted to the statement of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who announced that he will propose to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen that all Western Balkan countries join the European Union together.

In a post on social network X, Spajić welcomed the message about the European perspective of the region, while reminding that Montenegro is in the most advanced phase of the negotiation process and expects to join the EU in three years.

-I agree that the EU should be the final destination for the entire Western Balkans. However, we will be waiting for you there from 2028 and we are rooting for you to truly hurry up and accelerate the other candidates from the region - Spajić stated.
