(Patria) - German expert on the Western Balkans and NATO enlargement, Milan Nič, says he had the opportunity to speak with the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milojko Spajić, in Berlin today.
Nič reveals that, among other things, he asked Spajić about Montenegro's potential sponsorship of the UN Resolution on the Genocide in Srebrenica, to which Spajić replied that Montenegro will not sponsor it, but will support it.
- I had the opportunity to ask Spajić about Montenegro's path towards the EU, whether it is better to go alone or in a smaller group. Also, I was interested in the balance between the fragile parliamentary majority versus the principles of the governing actors, as well as his and the Government's stance on the proposed UN Resolution on the Genocide in Srebrenica - said Nič.

As he stated, Spajić emphasized that Chancellor Olaf Scholz confirmed that Montenegro is moving towards EU membership, and that after obtaining the IBAR, it will show that it is ready to be the first next member.
- When it comes to regional tensions and Belgrade's interference, Spajić claims that it is a constant issue, but that the media perception is exaggerated - added Nič, who is also a member of the German Council on Foreign Relations.
