Snow chaos in Croatia too

(Patria) - New snowfall has once again paralyzed traffic in Zagreb, where meteorologists had previously warned of heavy snowfall.

The Zagreb HDZ criticized the city services, stating that previous warnings did not prevent problems during the snowstorm.

Although teams have cleared the main roads, which are now passable for traffic, problems continue in rail transport.

Passengers of train 523 on the Zagreb – Split route spent long hours waiting for the railway line between Kosovo and Knin stations to open, which was finally put into operation at 8:21.

Train 1820, which departed from Split on January 6th at 21:03, was stopped at Perković station due to the inability to continue its journey and was returned to Split. Duty teams were immediately on site.

Due to the snowstorm, train 520 on the Split – Zagreb route (departure 7:54, arrival 16:04) was also cancelled.

Passengers on the Velika – Nova Kapela – Batrina line were transported by buses, while train Osijek – Erdut – Osijek Donji Grad at 8:50 was also cancelled due to technical problems.

The city and railway services state that teams are constantly on the ground, but passengers continue to face chaos caused by the new snow.
