Smajić: What is BiH's response to the threats from Vučić and Dodik?

(Patria) - Bosnia and Herzegovina must decisively reject threats to peace and pressure on the Court of BiH coming from the regimes of Dodik and Vučić, in connection with the expected verdict for Milorad Dodik, believes delegate (SBiH) in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Džemal Smajić.

Particularly unacceptable, Smajić emphasizes, is Serbia's interference in the judicial system of BiH, with which Serbia has no points of contact.

- The attempt to spill over the crisis from Serbian streets into Bosnia and Herzegovina and the use of the Dodik case shows the desperate situation these two politicians find themselves in.

However, what is important for both Dodik and Vučić, as well as their autocratic regimes, to understand is that their assessments are very superficial when it comes to the readiness of the citizens of BiH, and if you will, of all ideological and party options that advocate for BiH, to defend and protect BiH - states Smajić.

He also points out that the executive authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina, under whose jurisdiction fall security and defense of the sovereignty and integrity of BiH, is obliged to undertake all necessary activities and consider potential scenarios of destabilization.

- In the event of such a development, it is important to have all legal and other steps prepared in order to preserve peace and stability - says Smajić.

He considers it extremely important that Judge Sena Uzunović does not succumb to any pressure and professionally brings the Dodik trial to an end.

- His threats are the last cry of the powerless, because there is a possibility of his conviction. Everyone in Bosnia and Herzegovina should be aware that Dodik ultimately does not have the capacity to threaten the existence of BiH, but he can try to stage incidents that endanger security.

His decades-long destabilizing policy and arrogant behavior have caused great damage to all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and especially to the Serbian people he represents - concluded Smajić.
