Visit Officially Announced: Vučić Sends His Son to the Unconstitutional January 9

(Patria) - Danilo Vučić, the son of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, will be part of the delegation attending the celebration of the unconstitutional Day of Republika Srpska on January 9, Istraga.ba learns.

The Serbian Embassy has, as we learn, already informed the Bosnian authorities that Danilo Vučić will stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina from January 8 to 11. The younger Vučić is expected to be in Banja Luka and East Sarajevo during the celebration of the unconstitutional Day of RS.

In addition to his son Danilo, the President of Serbia is sending to Bosnia and Herzegovina for the celebration of the unconstitutional Day of RS the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Vladimir Orlić, and MP Milimir Vujadinović. On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, two ministers will also be in Banja Luka during the celebration of the unconstitutional Day of RS – Minister of Health Danica Grujičić and Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Nikola Selaković. All those mentioned are members of the Serbian Progressive Party of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

According to announcements, Serbian officials will arrive in Bosnia and Herzegovina on January 8 and will immediately head to Banja Luka, where a "ceremonial academy" is planned that day at the Borik hall. On the same day, January 8, President of RS Milorad Dodik will also organize a ceremonial reception for guests and international officials.

A ceremonial parade of members of the RS MUP and other governmental and non-governmental organizations close to Milorad Dodik and the Russian Federation will be held on January 9 in East Sarajevo.

"Did anyone think we would give up January 9," said the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, on Thursday afternoon, reacting to accusations that he continues with the "policy of divisions" in BiH.

A day earlier, the High Representative in BiH, Christian Schmidt, wrote to the leaders of Republika Srpska regarding the celebration of the unconstitutional day of that entity.

'I am writing to you regarding the announced celebration of the Day of Republika Srpska, January 9. The Constitutional Court of BiH has established in a series of decisions that the proclamation of January 9 as the Day of Republika Srpska is unconstitutional. These decisions are final and binding and must be respected. All public bodies and all public officials in BiH have an obligation to adhere to the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina,' Schmidt stated in his letter.

The High Representative emphasized that every holiday should be celebrated in accordance with the existing legal framework and should respect all segments of society in an inclusive manner, without discrimination, including all constituent peoples and all other citizens of BiH. The Dayton Peace Framework requires mutual respect and understanding. The High Representative also emphasized that both entities and the Brčko District have a multi-ethnic character, and therefore all holidays should connect people, not divide them. This is also in the spirit of the Constitution of Republika Srpska as an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The prosperity of Bosnia and Herzegovina should be built on cooperation, mutual understanding, and reconciliation, which in turn requires respect for legal facts.

"Radovan Karadžić and Ratko Mladić are convicted war criminals and creators of genocide. Therefore, they are called criminals, not heroes. I ask all public officials to respect this and turn towards a common future. The Dayton Peace Agreement laid the foundations for peaceful development and it must be respected," wrote Schmidt, as stated on the OHR website.

Despite this, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, decided to send his son and several officials of the Republic of Serbia to the celebration of the Day of Republika Srpska, which has been declared unconstitutional. At the same time, Vučić in his statements emphasizes that he respects the "territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina."
