(Patria) - Western Slovenia, along the border with Italy, was hit by a severe storm this afternoon that moved towards Kranj and Kamnik.
It will then continue towards Pohorje and Maribor, where it will likely weaken, reports RTV Slovenia.
Locally, heavy downpours, storm gusts and hail are possible, according to the Slovenian Environment Agency (ARSO).
ARSO has issued warnings for the western half of the country, central Slovenia and the southeast of the country.
They note that retention of precipitation and the occurrence of flash floods are possible. The weather should calm down after 9:00 PM.
As previously stated by ARSO, this afternoon a severe storm hit the area of Bovec and Kobarid from the direction of Italy, which then continued towards Kranj and Kamnik.
Several smaller storms also appeared over central Slovenia. They are moving towards Styria, and according to calculations from meteorological models, they should weaken along that path.
On Tuesday, reports RTV Slovenia, it will be cloudier at first, with some rain mainly in the morning and forenoon, and it will partially clear up in the afternoon.
Lowest morning temperatures will range from 14 to 19, and highest daily from 23 to 27, and up to 30°C in the Primorska region.
