Slovenia faces strong storm: Wind gusts of 100 km/h, rain, and hail expected

(Patria) - Slovenian meteorologists have issued a warning of severe weather that will hit the entire country tonight, with possible heavy downpours, strong wind gusts, and local hail.

During the afternoon, air temperatures in #Slovenia ranged between 32 and 37 degrees Celsius, and according to forecasts from the Environmental Agency (ARSO), hot days will be followed by stormy weather tonight.

ARSO duty meteorologist, Brane Gregorčič, announced that weather instability will pass over Slovenia tonight and during the night, causing strong storms.

ARSO predicts that the storms will be accompanied by strong wind gusts, which, according to the Neurje portal, could reach speeds exceeding 100 kilometers per hour.

Lightning, downpours, and hail are also possible.

Gregorčič says that the storm front will affect the entire country, but it is not yet clear where the storm will be strongest.

The weather is expected to calm down by tomorrow morning, when a predominantly beautiful day with slightly lower temperatures is expected.

Due to the announced storm, shopping centers in some cities, for example Maribor and Ljubljana, will be open tonight from midnight until 6 AM tomorrow for all citizens who wish to protect their vehicles from the bad weather, and this service will not be charged.
