(Patria) - The Serbian Parliament today adopted in Belgrade the Declaration on the Protection of National and Political Rights and the Common Future of the Serbian People.
Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević characterized this document as "the basis of the political struggle for the survival of Serbs in these areas".
139 MPs voted for the Declaration, nine were against, while six did not express their opinion.
The Declaration was proclaimed at the "All-Serbian Assembly" in Belgrade, and after it was adopted by the National Assembly of Serbia, its adoption by the Serbian Parliament followed.
Vučević sought the support of all MPs, pointing out that the MPs were not facing a party program, but a "people's program" in whose creation "all key factors of society" participated.
Radomir Lazović, an opposition MP from the Green-Left Front, called the proposed Declaration a "nationalist pamphlet".
The Declaration contains 49 points, which state, among other things, that "the Serbian people represent a single entity".
It also emphasizes that the Assembly does not support the Resolution on the Genocide in Srebrenica, which was voted on at the UN at the end of May.
The text states, among other things, that the Assembly considers it "inappropriate" to appoint a High Representative in BiH contrary to the annex of the Dayton Peace Agreement.
It is stated that the Dayton Peace Agreement has been "permanently and essentially violated", and all international actors are called upon to return to respecting it.
The Declaration also states that "Sretenje, February 15th, is the Statehood Day of Serbia and the Statehood Day of RS, which should be celebrated unitedly and jointly".
