Schmidt to state institution employees: You will not lose your property nor end up in prison, we do not live in North Korea

(Patria) - The Office of the High Representative (OHR) today published a short address by High Representative Christian Schmidt on its YouTube channel.

"Dear citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and today I am especially addressing those who work as employees of state institutions.

Thank you. Thank you for what you do in SIPA, in the Court of BiH and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, as well as in all other state institutions. You are doing your job exceptionally well.

Thank you for being committed to ensuring the rule of law. Nothing else is expected, and those from Republika Srpska who are pressuring you with claims that you could lose your property, or end up in prison, just because you do not follow the ideas of some individuals - that will not happen!

Why? Because we do not live in North Korea where one person decides on the lives of all citizens of that country. We live in a free Europe where different opinions can exist. In a democratic society, there is a clear procedure that must be respected if opinions differ.

I believe you can rely on the Constitution, you can rely on the courts, you can rely on those who care about the peaceful future of this country. All other ideas should not be supported. Thank you," Schmidt said in his address.
