
(Patria) - Srđan Janković, suspected of the murder of two-year-old girl Danka Ilić near Bor, has fully denied committing the crime, N1 was informed by the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Zaječar.
The suspect was questioned today at the premises of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office. Nova.rs reports that the suspect stated that he “did not see the girl at all on that fateful day”.
Let us remind you, Srđan Janković remained silent after his arrest, exercising his legal right not to present a defense, while the other accused, Dejan Dragijević, confessed to the murder.
The two of them are in custody, while the father of Dejan Dragijević, suspected of helping his son move the girl's body, was recently released from custody, as pre-trial detention for the crime of aiding the perpetrator after the commission of the crime cannot last longer than two months.
The girl Danka Ilić disappeared on March 26 in Banjsko Polje near Bor.
After 10 days of searching and detailed verification of all clues and information, the police arrested two men from Bor, suspected of hitting the girl with a car, then putting her body in the trunk of the car and taking it to a landfill.
The girl's body has not yet been found.
