(Patria) - Students and citizens organized a protest last night in front of the premises of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) on Bulevar oslobođenja in Novi Sad.
Attackers who beat Novi Sad students two nights ago emerged from these premises. Later that evening, citizens began a protest march.
A long column of students started from the university campus, making a lot of noise with whistles, vuvuzelas, horns, and drums.
They were joined by farmers on tractors, as well as a large number of motorcyclists, who also created a lot of noise.
Novi Sad high school students also came to the protest in an organized manner, accompanied by a large number of parents.
Stewards, largely composed of professors from the University of Novi Sad, formed a cordon in front of the SNS premises to prevent incidents.

"We want to thank all the parents and elders, former students, workers, and students who came to support us so that none of us would end up like the innocent Ana, who was brutally beaten by SNS thugs at 3 AM," said one of the students.
Addressing the crowd via megaphone, he also stated that "such injustice must never happen again".
"Ana is not just a student, not just our colleague. Ana is a symbol of resistance and the fight for justice for all of us. This is not just an attack on us, this is an attack on the entire idea of freedom and justice, on the normal society we are fighting for," said one of the female students.
Demonstrators carried banners saying "Dialogue" with an illustration of a bloody baseball bat, alluding to the beating of students and the regime's previous call for dialogue, and "Enough blood," "You're finished now!"
There were also banners: "All for one, one for all," "The paint will wash off, the blood won't," "It's over!" "Don't worry, Mom, the government didn't kill me today," "Declension - corrupt," "Scoundrels have entered textbooks and readers."

The gathered crowd also carried a banner saying "Children belong in school, criminals belong in prison. Criminals are in power. That's why children are on the streets."
Also, carrying the flags of Novi Sad and Serbia, they chanted: "Arrest Vučić!" "Prison, prison," "Resignations then prison!" "Get out."
