Number of victims of the Cetinje massacre grows: At least 10 people killed, army and police searching for the killer

(Patria) - Cetinje resident Aco Martinović is suspected of killing at least ten people, including two children, Montenegrin Minister of Internal Affairs Danilo Šaranović announced this evening.

Police are intensively searching for the suspected killer. It was previously announced that four people were seriously injured in the Cetinje massacre.

- What we can say so far is that this person, Aco Martinović, suspected of committing this crime, has taken the lives of at least 10 people, including two minors, the Vuletić family.

So, the children of Mr. Vuletić, who also perished, in whose catering facility this crime was committed - said Šaranović.

He provided information that Martinović also killed some members of his family.

Šaranović says that the entire operational staff of the police is in Cetinje. He says this is a situational event, a consequence of disturbed interpersonal relationships, and not a clash between organized criminal groups.

The suspect Martinović, the minister adds, is armed and uses a motor vehicle.

- The focus right now is on arresting him - said Šaranović.

He appealed to the citizens of Cetinje not to leave their homes until the suspect is arrested.

He also stated that a large number of police officers are on the ground.

He also announced that four people were seriously injured in the massacre, two of whom underwent surgery at the KCCG and are in intensive care.

Šaranović emphasized that after this operation, he will propose urgent measures - to review all issued gun licenses, although in this case it concerns a weapon in illegal possession.

- My personal opinion is that only people who engage in hunting or shooting sports should have weapons - said Šaranović.

All available capacities of the Police Directorate, led by the director, are in Cetinje with the aim of arresting the suspect for the murder of several people in Cetinje - Šaranović said earlier.

In addition to the police, the army of Montenegro is also involved in the search for the killer.
