Notorious criminal wounded, BiH citizen arrested

(Patria) - An alleged member of the Podgorica cell of the Kavač clan, Radosav Gile Stanišić, was wounded last night, shortly after midnight, and the police in Podgorica arrested a BiH citizen L.B. (29) with whom they found a weapon.

As announced by the Police Directorate, last night after midnight, R.S. (40) reported to the Emergency Center in Podgorica for medical assistance with a gunshot wound to the left lower leg.

"Police officers immediately undertook a series of activities within their jurisdiction to determine all the facts and circumstances under which R.S. was injured, who at this time did not provide detailed information about the event itself and refused to cooperate in order to uncover the crime and determine all circumstances," the UP announced.


A city blockade was set up, several individuals were checked and brought to the official premises to determine the circumstances under which R.S. was injured.

"Through these activities, during the inspection of an armored Audi vehicle and the person L.B. (29), a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, close to the person R.S., who was in the same vehicle, police officers found a 'Walther' pistol with 15 rounds of ammunition without a factory number, which was confiscated," the statement said.

By order of the prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, L.B. was arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosive materials.

"A series of measures and evidentiary actions are underway to determine the location of the crime scene, as well as all other relevant data and circumstances of this event," the statement concluded.
