
(Patria) - Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that the attack on the Ibër-Lepenc canal in the village of Varage in Zubin Potok is a serious crime that affects the lives of citizens and impacts the process of normalizing relations in the region.
He called on the European Union to immediately lift the measures against Kosovo.
He added that "this criminal attack must be clarified and punished as soon as possible with the support of international partners".
"In the meantime, the European Union should immediately remove the remaining sanctions against Kosovo and re-engage in a new dialogue format for normalization between Kosovo and Serbia. The existing format has not yielded the desired results, and it is time for dialogue issues to be resolved through the bilateral relations of the EU with Kosovo or Serbia, as two equally independent states, where the European destiny of each state cannot depend on the wishes or dislikes of another state," he wrote on platform X.

Kosovo Police: This is an act of terrorism
Kosovo Police called the explosion at Ibër-Lepenc on Friday evening an act of terrorism committed by one or more individuals.
In a statement, the police stated that they are conducting an intensive investigation to shed light on the case.
According to them, the explosion caused significant material damage.
They asked citizens to report any information they may have to the police.
