Worker dies in Zagreb after a large amount of rubble falls on him

(Patria) - Zagreb police reported after an investigation that a 59-year-old worker died in Zagreb's Črnomerec on Thursday after a large amount of rubble fell on him while cleaning a pipe for waste disposal.

The accident occurred around 10:50 AM during the execution of works, and the 59-year-old employee of a construction company died at the scene, the police announced.

An investigation at the scene of the accident was conducted by the duty deputy from the Municipal Public Prosecutor's Office in Zagreb, with the presence of occupational safety inspectors in cooperation with the police.

The body of the deceased man was transported for an autopsy to the Institute of Forensic Medicine and Criminology.
