Dogs bark, caravans move on: Constitutional Court of BiH session on Monday, Budget and Work Program for 2025 to be adopted.

The plenary session of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is scheduled for Monday, August 19, 2024.

The agenda includes only two items: the Work Program of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2025 and the Draft Budget of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2025.

In layman's terms, dogs bark, and caravans move on. It is particularly important to emphasize that foreigners will also participate in the session. Foreign judges, whom Milorad Dodik and Dragan Čović so eagerly want to get rid of.

The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, recently revived the story about how Republika Srpska wants to implement the 14 priorities from the European Commission's Opinion, which state that the issue of the BiH Constitutional Court must also be resolved.
The worst thing is that the parties of the Trojka (Three) have also accepted such a document as gospel, later crudely accusing the SDA prime ministers who disagreed with the Growth Plan.

The Trojka wanted to hide the betrayal of BiH under the guise that BiH would receive money from the Growth Plan. And perhaps we would have received it, but the authorities clearly do not care what would happen to the country.

We remind you that Dodik accused the BiH Constitutional Court of violating the Constitution and the law regarding its internal organization.

“The constitutional provision is that the president and vice-president of the court can only be domestic judges. Now we see that there are also foreign judges there, which means they are definitely violating the Constitution. There are no judges from the Serb people there, and we said that until the issue of foreigners is resolved, we do not intend to work on this issue,” said Dodik.

Whether they work or not, the BiH Constitutional Court moves on. However, it is problematic that the BiH Constitutional Court is unable to ensure the implementation of the judgments it makes, which seriously damages their reputation.

Decisions of the BiH Constitutional Court are final and binding, and their non-implementation is a criminal offense punishable by imprisonment from six months to five years.

The fact that the BiH Constitutional Court rightly criticizes the BiH Prosecutor's Office, which does nothing to punish those who violate the law, does not completely absolve the BiH Constitutional Court itself.
It is expected that the Work Program will address these issues, which can bring prosperity to BiH.
