
(Patria) - One of the greatest athletes of all time from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mirza Delibašić Kinđe, died on this day, 8 December 2001.
This country has an eternal obligation to preserve the tradition and memory of the Bosnian basketball legend, the man who was declared the athlete of the 20th century.
Delibašić began his career at Sloboda from Tuzla, from where he moved to Bosna from Sarajevo, with whom he won the championship title of the former country twice, and in 1979 the title of European club champion. He ended his brilliant career at Real Madrid.
With the national team of the former country, he won all possible trophies, and as the selector of the BiH national team in Germany in 1993, he achieved the greatest success of Bosnian basketball, eighth place.
