Zagreb restaurant selling 'mljevenici' - Croatian ćevapi - has failed

(Patria) - The Zagreb restaurant Inst@food, which made headlines across the region for its mljevenici, a sort of Croatian ćevapi, has failed.

It was a gastronomic experiment by Domagoj Delač, the owner of this restaurant, who decided to create a Croatian version of the universally loved ćevapi.

The mljevenici were made of 60% beef and 40% pork, combined with spices and garlic, and a 350-gram portion of meat came in a homemade flatbread made from pizza dough, brushed with butter with herbs and olive oil.

Also, unlike the classic accompaniments to ćevapi, the mljevenici came with french fries, potato salad, and onion salad with pumpkin seed oil.

Google indicates that the Inst@food restaurant is permanently closed, and it has 139 reviews with an average rating of 4.4.

A fast food restaurant called Repete has now opened in the same space, Index reports.
